Today was a short rehearsal day. We ran the show in the morning and cancelled the afternoon session. There's a balance Eli's trying to achieve between drilling for precision and keeping enthusiasm up. As you might imagine, those two ideas are inversely correlated. And, since the level of precision we're used to isn't really happening with this cast (they are terrific in many ways, but performance consistency isn't one of those ways), there are diminishing returns when it comes to drilling scenes.
Other than that, the show looks great! A bunch of us went out for lunch after rehearsal. After lunch, I swung by the grocery store to pick up some food for Sarah - she arrives tonight!
